Stuffed Animal Sleepover

On Saturday I took The Girl to our local library for an event they called The Stuffed Animal Sleepover.  It had to be the cutest idea ever.  Kids were to bring a stuffed animal to the library and then leave it there overnight. Then, the next day they could come back and retrieve their animals.  They would get photos of all the fun the animals had at their sleepover.
When we arrived, the librarian read stories and lead the kids in a few songs.  Then they directed us to the craft tables where each child could use glue and pom poms to make a little animal to take home.  After that they took a photo of each child with their animal.  Then, we put all the animals on a chair and headed out.

This afternoon we returned to the library to pick up the Elmo doll that The Girl had chosen for the sleepover.  They gave her two photos.  One was of Elmo reading a book.  The other was of all the animals placed around a computer logged on to the Sprout website.  The Girl thought it was the coolest thing ever.

If you've never checked into the children's programs at your local library I suggest you do that right away.  I am always finding fun (and FREE) things to do with The Girl.  Next month we're going to the Play Dough Fun Day.  (Sounds like fun to me - playdough time with someone else cleaning up!)
