Happy Birthday to The Boy

Today The Boy turns one. It just doesn't seem right that a year has gone by already. We've been blessed with a wonderful son. From the moment he was born he has been a joy. I regularly get compliments on his smile - it really is special. He is happy almost all the time.

Just recently he's started walking if you hold his hand. The look of sheer joy on his face as he 'walks' around the house is precious. He's also figured out how to steer his walker and is enjoying being able to chase after his sister. The Boy is also a champion eater. Most of the time he eats as much, if not more, than The Girl. For dinner tonight he ate half a chicken breast, a crescent roll, several crackers and more than a few bites of noodles. Of course, the carrots I tried to sneak in seemed to magically come back out every time. What is it with kids and vegetables?

Anyway, these moments are even more poignant for me because I think two children are enough for us. So if that ends up being the case, this is the last time I will be watching one of my children experiencing these one-year-old moments.
