Free Friday

It feels a bit sacrilegious to run a Free Friday post on Good Friday, but it's Earth Day too and there are some earth-friendly freebies out there today.

Starbucks - Don’t forget in honor of Earth Day, when you bring a travel cup into your local Starbucks today (4/22), you’ll receive a free coffee or tea. It is at participating stores so you may want to call ahead to see if your local store is participating.

Caribou Coffee - Take a reusable mug to Caribou Coffee today (4/22) and you’ll get a free coffee in honor of Earth Day.

Michaels - Do you still need anything for Easter decor/baskets or Mother’s Day? Be sure you grab the new 50% off

Subway - For the next two weeks, breakfast sandwiches are Buy One Get One Free at Subway from 7am-9am every morning through 4/29.  Also, the full menu is always available at breakfast. So, you can get a breakfast sandwich like the Sunrise Subway Melt and then choose your favorite lunch sandwich free!

Remember, Subway locations are franchised so all locations may not be participating - Call Ahead! 


Disney Store - In honor of Earth Day on Friday, the Disney Store is giving away free Reusable Shopping Bags. You need to bring in five plastic bags for recycling in order to be eligible for the free bag. This offer is only valid today (4/22) from 10am-8pm or while supplies last.

If you're into reusable bags, lots of stores have them on sale this week. I noticed Jewel and Walgreens sold them for 50% off (I got a Sox one!) Plus, stores like Target, Strack & Van Til and others offer discounts on your purchase for each bag you use. Target gives you 5 cents per bag (sometimes I have to remind the cashier). I love the reusable bags because they hold so much more than those silly plastic ones.
