Happy Halloween!

Halloween is here. The foyer is picked up, candy is in the cauldron bowl and the door is open awaiting the trick or treaters.

Even better, The Boy is napping and The Girl is watching The Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That on PBS. Soon I'll get the kids in their Thing One and Thing Two costumes and start handing out candy. Hopefully The Chef will make it home early enough to accompany us when we take our own trick or treating trek through the neighborhood.

I just love watching the excitement on The Girl's face on holidays like this. It really is all about the kids for me. To me, a perfect Halloween is just costumes, kids, candy, and maybe a little apple cider. It's innocent, fun and exciting.
