Just a short little nugget for today since I'm trying to put together the Free Friday entry, plus we have a rehearsal dinner tomorrow and a wedding on Saturday.
But anyway. . . This parenting The Girl stuff gets interesting sometimes. The other day we were picking up dinner at Portillos. We were reading the menu while the order taker waited outside the car. The Girl looks at the employee and pronounces "He is very handsome." Jesse and I finished chuckling long enough to relay to the employee what The Girl had said. He laughed and looked in the window to wave at her.
This is where it gets really good.
She pipes up again and asks if they can get married.
Yup, my four-year-old has asked someone to marry her.
I am going to be in a lot of trouble in about 10 years.
LOL! Well, WAS he handsome? Maybe this was a glimpse of what her future spouse will look like! (Although I hope it will be a much younger version of him!)
